This year, Groupama Assurance Mutuelles has decided to rework and improve its onboarding process.
One of the key stages of this process is the period between the signing of the promise to hire and the employee’s physical arrival at the company.
To provide the best support and maintain the link with future employees during this period, several HR Department teams worked with start-up Furet Company to design this new innovative tool, the Welcome@GMA app.
Following the signing of their promise to hire, employees receive an email asking them to download the app on their telephone.
The application then informs the new hire about the Group and more specifically about GMA via varied recreational challenges (welcome in augmented reality via a message from the Chief Executive Officer, 360° virtual visits to the premises, etc.). It provides a personalised onboarding process for each employee, thus facilitating interaction with their manager and HR Departments.
This creates a connection even before their arrival, and they are thus supported throughout their onboarding.
The application has two parts, one Group, the other GMA. In the Group presentation, the new employee can discover its history, values, how it works, its key figures, its commitments, etc. The GMA presentation provides the key figures and business lines, the benefits, its preferred contacts, practical information, etc.
Via Welcome@GMA, the new hire can regularly engage in 26 varied, interactive and fun challenges, receiving key messages throughout their first year.
