Group CSR indicators

Our mutualist organisation has always made people the focus of the company’s actions and concerns. True to this spirit and the mutualist operating principles for more than 100 years, the group affirms its desire to continue integrating social and environmental concerns into the business lines.
We have therefore chosen to focus on CSR progress areas directly in line with our corporate strategy and our core business. The performance indicators below reflect our desire to take environmental, social and governance considerations into account in our products and services:

Develop a human, proactive and responsible customer relationship

Number of non-sales calls per year: over 1 million

Risk prevention: 200,000 beneficiaries of our actions per year, including :

  • Life Savers Programme (‘Les Gestes Qui Sauvent’ in France): 140,000 beneficiaries from 2021 onwards

Developing protection solutions that respond to environmental and lifestyles changes

Helping agriculture make the transition to food sovereignty while preserving the planet: in France, 54% of the land is insured by Groupama.

Helping people grow old in good health: 3.8 million people in France are insured for their health by Groupama – 62% of whom are individuals aged over 55.

Carbon emissions avoided thanks to electronic signatures, dematerialised letters and envelopes, car insurance claims: reused or repaired parts (a third of shields are repaired rather than replaced): more than 4,000 tons of CO2 avoided.

Develop an active contribution to the sustainable development of local life

Philanthropic initiatives and collection of donations: almost €10 million a year for solidarity initiatives, including the Groupama Foundation’s initiatives in the fight against rare diseases; more than 20,000 walkers and participants in solidarity walks and events.

Implement a clear, public savings and sustainable investment policy that is common to the whole Group:

Proportion of assets managed according to ESG criteria by the Group, excluding unit-linked funds: over 90% of assets under management

Additional sustainable investment by the Group: +€2.3 billion since 2022

12 M tonnes of CO2 stored by Groupama’s forests (forests managed by the Groupama forestry company and by the regional mutuals)

  • HR: Overall, for the Group as a whole, women account for more than 60% of employees.
    • Proportion of female managers (executives + senior managers) in the permanent workforce: 50.7%, including 51.5% of female executives and 28.5% of female senior managers.
  • 20.8% conversion rate between permanent and fixed-term contracts for work-study students (France)
  • 6.05% Group direct employment rate of disabled employees (France)
